Welcome back everyone. Sorry, we have been busy trying to get our book to a point where we can publish. Waiting for an agent is good, but also bad. Understanding that if an agent asks to see the rest of the manuscript, that does not mean they will accept your book. Also, if they do, it could be another two months. After that, then they start working on your book. That could take more time than we really want to wait. This is supposed to be a fun project. So today, we made it fun again. A huge shoutout to AuthorLab.com for the amazing work they do. There are tutorials, and a large selection of software programs that truly help with the process of self publishing.

We have a contest for the book going on, but after only a hour or so, we designed what very will could be the final cover. We are truly impressed with the cover book software program that was extremely easy to use and the graphics are fantastic. Best part is, all photos do not require us to get a license. They already have the permissions done for us. Of course we used our logo, and the end result was beyond anything we expected. I was excited with my first design, but the wife, My did not approve. LOL. Then after a few more revisions and a complete rehaul, My was happy, but had a change. I must admit, the change made a difference.

As for the contest, the winner still receives a free autographed book. And who knows, maybe their design blows ours out of the water. That is a huge undertaking, but you never know. There are a few designers out there that can truly work their magic. Also, if their design is used in combination with ours, I have no problem adding the winner to the credits. Perhaps I will add their name to the credits anyway, just for winning the cover design competition. Not all that hard as no one, and I mean NO ONE has even submitted anything yet. Not one picture or design. Perhaps they worked on it this weekend and we will see some come in Monday or Tuesday.

We opened up our spot at Starline this weekend. We are really excited for this. My has her own business, LeafDry.com which sells Eco-Friendly plates, bowls, and other things. They are made from leaves of a tree grown in Vietnam. The dry them and make things out of them. A great new business for her, and I was hired as the CEO. :)

We have a book promotion there as well, so people who visit can see our book that is coming soon. We saw an increase in website traffic which is always a good sign.

As for now, we are seriously considering self publishing as we want the book out before Christmas. This would make a fantastic Christmas present.

As a writer I can go on and on and on. However it is getting late. Tomorrow is a brand new day. Thank you for stopping in and reading. We are blessed to have our readers.
